DESCRIPTION: Marshalling bats are used as a visual aid for communication between groundcrew and pilot. Marshalling bats are generally used to aid aircraft ground manoeuvres, such as aircraft parking, pushback, turning, slowing down, shutting down engines and other ground manoeuvres, primarily in daylight operations.
Marshalling bats come in a set of two pieces. They are lightweight with an ergonomic soft grip. The PE sandwich composite makes them nearly unbreakable. The Marshalling Bats come standard retroreflective orange. Other colours are also available on request.
SPECIFICATION:
1. Material: Aluminium/PE sandwich composite. Handles of soft grip rubber
2. Colour: White Base, Black Handle, Any colour for circle
3. Dimension: 250×416 mm or Customed as per specific need
4. Weight: Approx 400 to 500 Gram Per Piece.
SAFETY AND BEST PRACTICES:
1. Marshallers must wear high visibility vest and be properly trained and authorized.
2. Bats must be employed where clearly visible to the pilot and complemented with LED wands if lighting conditions are inadequate
3. Avoid walking directly behind an aircraft being marshalled and ensure no obstructions are present in the aircraft’s path
